Counseling Intern

Azarya De La Cruz

I provide individual counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults in Texas. My current focus is on working with life transitions, family conflict, religious trauma, grief, self-esteem, stress, depression, and anxiety. As a former Elementary School Teacher, I have additional experience helping children navigate anxiety, ADHD, learning disabilities, grief, and relationship conflicts.

I am bilingual and can offer services in Spanish.

My therapeutic approach incorporates Existential theory with Person Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. I focus to the unique needs of each client and believe that every individual has a great purpose and possesses the strength and potential to work through life problems. I seek to transparently help my clients discover this capability and learn skills and strategies that will help them achieve their goals, through empowering my clients and providing them with conditions for personal growth.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M-Commerce. I am a graduate student at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, expected to graduate in 2027. I am currently under the supervision of Stacey Johnson, LPC-S.
